Use ChatGPT as a video editor
Use ChatGPT as a video editor
This ChatGPT plugin makes creating videos 10x easier.
I recently used CapCut over my regular Premier Pro to generate and edit a video, and I was shocked by how good it was.
Here’s how to use it in 4 simple steps:
- Install the plugin
Go to ChatGPT (you will need premium), and install the CapCut plugin.
Make sure the plugin is enabled.
- Enter your prompt
With the plugin enabled, simply enter a prompt for the video you want to produce.
The more context you provide, the better your results will be.
Here’s the prompt I used: “Generate a 30-second video of a dog running to the park. Make the dimensions 16:9 and make the video as realistic as possible.”
- Editing
From here, Capcut will auto-generate a script and images/video stock based on the prompt you provided.
It’s usually going to be pretty scrappy, but you can prompt to re-edit pretty much anything.
That’s it!
Keep in mind, that it’s not perfect for video generation (yet).
But it does solve the hardest part of creating videos, it takes you from a blank slate to a full idea with stock footage.
Already extremely helpful, and I can’t imagine where we’ll be a couple of years from now.
