1. Permanent, Irrevocable License Over Your Content:

• By uploading or syncing anything—even drafts or clips stored in the cloud—you grant CapCut (and ByteDance) a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable and transferable license to use, modify, distribute, monetize, and even resell your content without compensating you or requiring permission
• This license remains active even if you delete your account or remove content

2. Rights to Your Likeness, Voice & Biometric Data:

• The update explicitly allows CapCut to use your name, image, voice, and biometric data (like facial recognition, voice patterns) in promotions or ads, with no compensation or approval required
• This has serious implications for privacy and identity exploitation, particularly concerning for journalists and public figures .
