Course Description
This course is oriented towards the networking professional who understands the basics of VMware NSX and is looking to taking the next step to understanding the design of NSX networks. The focus of the course is primarily on the requirements for the design of the underlying physical network. Data center network design is covered with a focus on the spine-leaf (CLOS based) architectures. Using the white board NSX design concepts are explored in depth, including the design of the server racks from an IP addressing perspective. A design methodology is presented followed by a design discussion for a case study using the white board where options and tradeoffs are considered along with their operational considerations.
